Our Route to Sustainability - because there is no Planet B

WE PRODUCE CONTEMPORARY CLOTHING MADE
WITH RESPECT FOR BOTH PEOPLE AND THE PLANET.

From the beginning, our mission has been to create high quality garments in the most responsible and ethical way. We therefore integrate sustainability into everything we do, making deliberate decisions about who we work with, how we work & what materials we use.

FROM FIELD
TO FASHION

It's a long journey from the cotton field to the final product, and at every step of the complex supply chain we aim to ensure the highest level of responsibility. Our organic cotton, sourced from India, goes through a number of stages as it moves from the cotton farm to a finished decorated garment to be sold in Europe.

Organic cotton is about 20-40% more expensive than conventional cotton, but the higher price is compensated by higher quality. Because no defoliants may be used, the organic cotton is not mechanically harvested, but by hand. This leads to higher quality, because no foul fibers, capsules or leaf pieces are sneeking into the yield.  Conventionally farmed cotton is responsible for 20-25% of worldwide used insectiside and 10-12% of worldwide herbicide usage. These are completely avoided during organic cotton production.

Going further, while being more expensive, organic cotton farming methods ensures the sustainable use of the fertile soil. This avoids the creation of future costs to restore soil degradation, some of them even irreversible, while sustaining the economic basis or rural livelihoods.

20 years of organic cotton cultivation has shown that sustainable production is possible. However, to emerge out of the niche and thus giving more families the opportunity to achieve sustainable farming, the demand for fair and ecological clothing must increase.

WE WORK WITH 100% ORGANIC COTTON AND RECYCLED MATERIALS

We work closely with our suppliers to source only the best raw materials, grown or produced in ways that do not harm people, animals or the environment. We exclusively use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton from India, recycled polyester from China and other sustainable materials such as Modal®.

WE ARE CERTIFIED BY THE BEST

Our supply chain is certified by various independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications demonstrate that we are working towards building healthy environmental practices and greater respect for the planet, every step of the way. We also encourage our Dealers to implement GOTS Certified printing techniques which use non-harmful inks and sustainable production methods. So that we can affirm that our hoodies, sweatshirts & t-shirts are 100% fully sustainable.

WE ARE CONSCIOUS OF OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

We collect data from across our supply chain to gain a better understanding of our environmental impact and help us work towards minimizing it. Our partner factories are equipped with state-of-the art Effluent Treatment Plants which remove toxic elements from the water and ensure it’s safe to be reused.

While we understand we are currently not a fully sustainable business, we are working tirelessly to further reduce our carbon footprint and the impact we have on the environment as a business.

WE HAVE MORE WORK TO DO.

Over the last few months, we have done extensive research into how we can provide fitness wear which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but is also manufactured in a manner which minimizes the effect is has on our environment.

We are currently sampling female leggings which are made from 95% combed organic cotton & 5% lycra elastane. These fabrics are GOTS Certified and Pre-approved Vegan and also are Oeko-Tex Standard 100. We hope to release these in the coming months and we continue on our quest to only supply garments/clothing which are 100% sustainable.
